Remember how I told you that Taro's a good guy now? Here's proof!!

Though bleeding profusely and hopelessly outnumbered, Taro remained firmly planted over his helpless son. His teeth and claws were poised and ready to rip any one of the dozens of marauders to shreds if they came any closer. He had just lost his mate to these backstabbers and he would outright kill the first one to stretch a hand for the cub.

He crouched lower, sheltering his son in his thick, shaggy coat. The wide-eyed infant, not even old enough to stand, poked his tiny nose out from under his baba’s black fur. He was more curious than anything about the new faces around him. His snout wrinkled at the almost metallic scent of blood from Taro’s wounds.

A terrible silence hung over the air for a moment, a moment in which Taro decided on and sealed his fate.

But Po’s life was every bit worth the sacrifice of his own.

This scene look familiar to a previous drawing? It should be. This is a scene from my sequel-in-the-works, and the story generally is about Po and Shifu finding out just how alike their paths truly are.

BTW, think I need to put a mature content tag on this for the blood?
